Setups When racing in Spec class it's very important to have fast and easy to drive setup. On this page there are few starting setups for Traxxas Slash.
How setups are documented?Setups are commonly documented on a setup sheet. Setup sheet is document which has all tuneable options of the car in understandable form. Traxxas has provided editable setup sheet in PDF format. It's recommended to always have few printed out blank sheets available, so it's possible to document good setups when needed.Download editable setup sheet for Traxxas Slash (PDF). You can find it here.Outdoors and dirt setups Download: Base Race Setup for medium traction by Traxxas (PDF)This setup is good starting point for all outdoor and dirt tracks. For racing conditions out of box Slash has too active differential. Small amount (25%) of heavy silicone oil (300 000wt) Needed for this setup: Indoors setups Download: Traxxas Slash Carpet Setup for high traction by RR (PDF)This setup is for high grip carpet track. Old O-rings can be used as upstroke limiters. Be sure not to use any hard spacers as upstroke limiters, they can damage shocks. For racing conditions out of box Slash has too active differential (especially in high grip conditions).
